Chapter 3: Developing Spiritual Faith and Knowledge
It is possible to know for certain there is a God !
-
This chapter discusses how we can know there is a God―not simply believe, but actually know!
-
The process utilizes a simple experiment which initially only requires a “Desire to Believe” and a willingness to study and pray.
-
This simple experiment is explained in great detail in this chapter.
-
This is the most important chapter of the book!
Spiritual knowledge is obtained the same way as physical knowledge is obtained―by using the principles of Faith!
-
After receiving spiritual knowledge, the scriptures describe this knowledge as, “Most precious … sweet above all that is sweet … white above all that is white, yea, and pure above all that is pure.”
-
Spiritual knowledge is real, discernable, sure, and irrefutable!
-
Spiritual knowledge allowed Peter to declare to the Savior, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”
-
God, through the scriptures, promises anyone can obtain this knowledge: “For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost, as well in these times as in times of old, and as well in times of old as in time to come.”
-
It is all up to us. We can follow this simple experiment and obtain a witness there is a God or we can sit back and do nothing―and receive nothing.
The Lord said, “I am found of them who seek after me, I give unto all them that ask of me; I am not found of them that sought me not, or that inquireth not after me.”
