About The Author
David A Richins received a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah,
in 1967. He was the manager of mechanical engineering at Evans and Sutherland Computer Corporation,
located in the University of Utah Research Park. He helped design the National Advanced Driving
Simulator (NADS) at the University of Iowa, and the automobile driving simulator for Daimler-Benz
(Mercedes Benz) in Berlin, Germany. He also helped design numerous military airplane and tank
simulators. He has been awarded several U.S. patents.
Born and raised on a farm in Echo, Utah, he spent many hours sitting on a tractor, giving him
ample time to think and ponder about life and God. He developed a firm conviction for deity as well as
an appreciation for God’s numerous creations. While repairing and maintaining farm equipment, he developed a desire to become an engineer. He realized that nothing was designed or built by chance.
Everything needs a creator. That idea has been a driving force throughout his life and led him to write
this book.
He and his late wife, Karen Garfield Richins, are the parents of four children.
